Eric Davis Chosen to Join Board of East End Cooperative Ministries
Eric Davis, a Partner in the Pittsburgh law firm of Fried-Davis, LLC was chosen to join the Board of Directors of East End Cooperative Ministries ("EECM").
EECM is an interfaith ministry dedicated to helping at-risk children and youth, the hungry, the homeless, and others in need throughout Pittsburgh's East End. The organization was founded in 1970 and is a community-wide effort supported by more than forty member congregations, as well as a corps of local businesses and foundations, generous donors and dedicated volunteers.
Myrna Zelenitz, Director of EECM commented that "Eric's extensive experience in nonprofit law and fundraising make him a valuable member of our leadership team. Everyone is excited about how Eric can contribute to the success of EECM as we continue the process of establishing a new home for the organization.
"EECM has long been my favorite charity," stated Eric Davis. "For many of the individuals it serves, EECM provides the necessities of life: a hot meal, a safe place to sleep, food for the family. For others, it is a place to regain strength after a hospital stay, a support system to work toward recovery, or one-on-one help to change life for the better."
The organization is best known in the community for its work with young people. EECM conducts educational programs, drug and alcohol prevention programs, violence prevention programs and Summer Day Camp- programs designed as part of a concerted effort to show our children a better future.
