Rohit Dharwadkar joins Elliott & Davis, LLC

The Law Firm of Elliott & Davis, LLC is pleased to announce that Rohit Dharwadkar has joined the firm as an Attorney. Mr. Dharwadkar practices in the area of immigration and nationality law, with an emphasis on employment and family based immigration. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law.

Born in Bombay (Mumbai), India, Mr. Dharwadkar immigrated to the United States at a young age, when his family established their residence in Southern California. After graduating from Southwestern University School of Law, Mr. Dharwadkar began his legal career in San Francisco in the field of Immigration Law. During this time he represented his clients in securing temporary visas and permanent residency green cards for individuals, family members and employees. He moved the Pittsburgh area in July 2005.

Mr. Dharwadkar has represented his clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Service), the U.S. Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has represented clients in employment-based and family-based immigration matters, as well as deportation/removal issues, asylum and refugee matters.

Mr. Dharwadkar is aware of the concerns individuals face in the immigration process both professionally and personally, having immigrated to the United States himself. He has successfully supported individuals and corporate employees through the intricate immigration process with the goal of establishing temporary or permanent residency in the United States.
